Excellence in Teaching and Learning with Technology

The Excellence in Teaching and Learning with Technology Award is made possible through the generosity of Cengage Learning. This award is presented to one individual who demonstrates excellence in using technology to enhance post-secondary instruction in agriculture. Full details found here.

To recognize meritorious activity in the area of Global Engagement through teaching, educational research, and/or administration. Full details found here.


Judging and Student Teaching

The NACTA Judging and Student Service Award is presented to a faculty member who has provided exceptional service to students, with special emphasis on those coaching competitive judging teams who have participated in the annual NACTA Judging Conference. Other areas of consideration include involvement in other student service activities, teaching accomplishments, and integration of the nominees judging program and activities with the overall academic experience and institution’s mission. Full details found here.

NACTA Educator

One of the central purposes of NACTA (North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture) is to recognize those individuals whose efforts represent the very best in agricultural higher education. The NACTA Educator Award is a criterion-based award and is reviewed by a committee of NACTA members. Full details found here.


NACTA Teaching Award of Merit Certificate

Institutional contacts for NACTA can request a Teaching Award of Merit Certificate for faculty members you wish to recognize for their accomplishments as a teacher. If you have graduate students who teach, you can also request a certificate for your students. The president of NACTA signs these certificates. They are then signed by one of your administrators before being presented on your campus. The recipient of the certificate is determined within your campus. Full details found here.


NACTA Teaching Scholar

The NACTA Teaching Scholar Award is presented to a maximum of 1% of the NACTA membership body. These individuals should demonstrate a heavier commitment to NACTA since earning the NACTA Educator Award and be clear about their involvement with NACTA, the NACTA Journal, and our NACTA annual conference. Individuals seeking this award should also demonstrate a teaching influence beyond their own campus. Full details found here.


Teaching Award of Excellence

The NACTA Teaching Award of Excellence is presented to one individual who demonstrates excellence in post-secondary instruction in agriculture. Full details found here.

NACTA Student Awards

Master's Student Teaching

The Master's Student Teaching Award celebrates excellence in classroom instruction by Master’s-level graduate students in agricultural disciplines. Reviewed by NACTA members based on teaching philosophy, instructional involvement, evaluations, and engagement beyond the classroom. Full details found here.

Doctoral Student Teaching

The Doctoral Student Teaching Award honors doctoral-level graduate students for excellence in teaching within agricultural disciplines. Evaluated by NACTA members based on teaching philosophy, instructional involvement, faculty and student evaluations, and engagement beyond the classroom. Full details found here.
